Bio


Dilier Olivera Viciedo is an academic at the Institute of Agri-food, Animal, and Environmental Sciences, Universidad de O'Higgins. He completed his PhD and postdoctoral studies at São Paulo State University (UNESP/FCAV), Brazil. He has served as an International Visiting Researcher at the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA-Chapadinha) and the Federal Institute Goiano (IF-Goiano, Rio Verde), Goiás, Brazil, where he also collaborates with several research groups of high international reputation. He is an international member of the faculty of the Master's program in Renewable Natural Resources at the University of Machala, Ecuador. His expertise lines can be summarized as (i) Soil Science and Plant Nutrition, (ii) Biofertilizers, Water Management and Agroecology), and (iii) Climate Change, especially their impact on agriculture. He has been strongly involved to several teaching activities namely by lecturing topics for undergraduate and post-graduation students within the subject’s soil science, management and preservation of natural resources, climate change, and plant nutrition. He has supervised and advised Ph.D., MSc, and undergraduate theses in various countries. He has participated in numerous scientific events including congresses, workshops and seminars in different national and foreign centers, often as a keynote speaker. He has authored over 50 research papers in international peer-reviewed journals, books, and book chapters. Additionally, he frequently serves as a reviewer for several Web of Science journals.  Prof. Olivera-Viciedo is an Excellent reviewer certified by Clarivate Analytics Publons. He has also obtained several awards and several international grants. His current research work focuses on understanding how soil and vegetation respond to climate change related threats in natural and managed terrestrial ecosystems through international, national and local research projects
