Abstract

The study dealt with the comparison of fourth transplant distance on rice agricultural yield of crops cultivar Amistad-82, during the 2012 rice-sowing seasons. The trasplant were carried out in manual form on a sialitic brown carbonate soil, in the collective farm “Heriberto Orellane” located in the province of Sancti Spiritus. It was used a random block design and used young posture of 18 days germinate, four transplant distance (15x10; 20x15; 15x15 and 20x20 cm) and one posture per place. The production indicators were observed such as tillers number, quantity of panicle per m 2 , panicle length, 1000-grain weight and yield (ton.ha -1 ). The best results regarding rice yield were those of the 15x10 and 20x15 cm transplant distances. Therefore, when used Amistad-82 variety rice, the most suitable transplant distance in rice production were the 15x10 and 20x15 cm because the yields were superior compared to the 15x15 and 20x20 cm distances, the percent of full grain per spike increased, there were more spikes per m 2 , the weight per grain was superior (1000 per spike), and the earnings and the cost of production decreased.
